Currently here is just a small selection of the many transports we are able to offer from manufacturers including CEC, Audio Note amongst other.

The Talk Electronics Thunder 2.2 transport is a beautifully engineered design, with build quality that puts most other designs on the market to shame. It features a Coaxial S/PDIF output (via a phono) and Toslink optical. Its sound is purposeful and dynamic with great detail retrieval.

The CEC transports are very different from almost any other on the market. The main novel feature is the use of belt drive instead of the common place direct drive used by almost everyone else. The only difference this has in day to day use is its slightly slower to get up to speed and read the table of contents when you put the disc in (partly thanks to the heavy magnetic puck that clamps the disc in place), but a couple of seconds of extra patience are certainly rewarded when you start to listen.

Their is a freedom of sound that we’ve heard in all of the CEC transports we’ve auditioned, there’s a greater sense of space than we’ve ever managed to retrieve from CD giving an unstressed, less digital presentation. Yet it doesn’t hold back on dynamics and still has excellent bass control and extension.

It offers a very wide range of connection options including XLR (AES/EBU), coaxial S/PDIF (via a phono) , CEC Superlink (for use with their own DAC’s), and Toslink optical.

The Mistrale is a sophisticated transport which is a delight to use. It’s sound is very well detailed with great presence and dynamics. It has coaxial, optical (Toslink) and AES/EBU outputs.

The CDT Two/II is based around the Philips CDM Pro mechanism. It features a large power supply and Blackgate capacitors. These capacitors give it a rather long burn in time, but once it’s settled in the sound is wonderfully textured and natural.
Available with either a silver or black acrylic fascia.

Top of the range Audio Note transport, in the same case as the CDT Two shown above. More details to follow.
