Setting the tracking force of any cartridge is critical to the sound and life expectancy that you can expect from your records. This Shure stylus balance makes this both easy and repeatable. It has a range of between 1 and 3 grammes and measures the tracking force at the actual playing height, which greatly improves accuracy (which is to within 1/10th of a gramme over its primary operating range).
